“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something.
If you go out and make good things happen, you will
fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”

  ― Barack Obama

Join a Discernment Council

The ISLC is in the process of setting up a three council structure that discerns and implements programming which responds to the signs of the times. The purpose of each council is to investigate and pray with the current context of our community, Church and world, and then work together to determine our response to the issues before us. Council members then animate the community to participate in the programming.

Join the Hospitality Ministry

The ISLC is currently recruiting a team of five hospitality ministers to tend to the needs of the community.

DETAILS
Hospitality ministers are available to help set up for events and programs. The primary tasks include purchasing food, setting up food and drinks, making coffee, emptying and filling the dishwasher, unlocking and locking the Center, greeting our guests, and being on hand to answer questions.

CHARISM
If you are a warm, friendly and detail-oriented person who enjoys making things beautiful for people who are striving to both love God and do God' work in the world, you are a perfect fit!

Please fill out the form below.

Assist with Office Support

The ISLC has ongoing administrative projects where we could use a couple extra hands and halos on deck.

DETAILS
If you enjoy donating a couple hours here and there as your schedule allows, you might like helping with our seasonal mailings. If you prefer a regular but light commitment, such as an hour a week, you might enjoy helping us with our database. If you have a particular skill you think we can use, consider dopping us a line and we'll see if we have a match.

CHARISM
If you are well organized, detail-oriented, flexible and easy to work with (i.e., you understand and have patience for the frenetic pace of a tiny nonprofit and the people who run it), and you just loooove to check things off a To-Do list, you would be perfect for our team.

Please fill out the form below.
