Monthly Gatherings Cancelled during COVID-19 Shelter-In-Place Order

The April and May monthly gatherings will be cancelled since the Shelter-In-Place order for the Bay Area has been extended to May 3, 2020. However, we encourage the cohorts and groups to continue meeting using video conferencing (e.g. Zoom, GoToMeeting, or Google Hangouts) or teleconferencing. If you would like to meet with your group and need their contact information, send an email to Marco@SaintAgnesSF.org.

Virtual Holy Week and Easter Retreat offered by the Verbum Dei Communities

Picture

Preparation for Easter this year is like none before.  The Verbum Dei Sisters would like to journey with us as a community through Holy Week into a great celebration of Easter. The retreat begins Friday April 3 through Easter Sunday April 12.

Here’s how it works:
  • Starting on Friday April 3 in the afternoon, we will upload and send out two prayer reflections daily. The reflections will be available on their Facebook Page, SoundCloud, or via email if you sign up (see below).
  • We invite you each day to set aside a time of silence and prayer after listening / watching the prayer reflections.
  • You may want to journal or draw as a way to express your prayer experience.
  • There are different ways you can participate:
    • Listening or watching the reflections at your own pace and whenever you want to.
    • Participating in a group sharing 2-3 times during the week (sign up required).
    • Individual conversations with a missionary during the week (sign up required).
  • The reflections will be available in English and Spanish.

If you’re interested in signing up, fill out their online form here before April 3: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1trKrrBsOWlbDarkJ9aOPmS48F5xOQMzdmcm65aWkxsU/edit

ABOUT US
A ministry of St. Agnes Parish in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco, the Ignatian Spiritual Life Center has a three council structure that discerns the programming we need to live an Ignatian life of devotion and service. Our areas of focus are Church Justice, Global Justice and Spiritual Life. Each council offers programming aimed at mobilizing the larger community to love the world the way God intends. Programming includes adult education and faith formation, the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, spiritual direction, opportunities for prayer and retreat, and an ongoing commitment to dialogue and service in our Church and world.
